Olin-Draper AGV

A John Deere Gator XUV.

The Olin-Drapor AGV ("the Gator") was an Olin College SCOPE project to design and build an offroad robotics research platform for Draper Laboratory. Stage one of the project (Fall 2009-Spring 2010) was to complete the base hardware platform and develop proof of concept autonomous behaviors. The final goal was to autonomously follow GPS waypoints with half meter accuracy while preventing collision with obstacles using LIDAR. Video of final demo.

This home entertainment system redesign was done for Olin College's Human Factors and Interface Design course in the Spring of 2009. The focus of the project was on simplifying experience of using a home entertainment system, driving strongly towards a goal-centric interface instead of the current task-centric interaction.

Flight Instructors

This project, completed for Olin College's User Oriented Collaborative Design course in the Spring of 2008, focused on designing a product or service for private flight instructors. The project began with user studies and synthesis of personas, user values, and areas of opportunity. The project ended with ideation and refinement of concepts into a single product proposal, with a set of clearly defined requirements.
